The Abomination of Desolation

Shalom,
Not sure about your take on the AOD...
Would be interesting to hear what Messiah2030 has to say about it. ;-)

Shalom Steven,
What's your understanding of the very words of Yeshua when he talks about the AOD in the context of the end time prior to his return in Matthieu 24?
Therefore when you see the ‘abomination of desolation,’ spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place” (whoever reads, let him understand), 16“then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains...
Blessings,

The context of Matthiew 24 is end time. In my understanding, Yeshua is talking about his return here and the events that will unfold before he comes back to Jerusalem. These include what Daniel spoke about the AOD. So the AOD has to have an end time fulfilment...
Judea was the land of the House of Juda which included Jerusalem. It may not be called Judea today, but it's still the very place where Yeshua will return and reign as King of kings.
It's still the very place where he commands Jews to flee from when they see Jerusalem being surrounded by the Muslim armies prior to the events described in Zachariah 12 and 14.
