Isn't it what the whole left behind series is all about?
Now the question we should ask is the following: Is the above end-time scenario the one described in the Bible?
At first sight, it would seem so since its main themes are the very ones you hear about within basically all Christian circles (Revived Roman empire, OWG, etc.).
The only uncertainty seems to be the actual ID of the antichrist.
Some say it’s Macron, others say it’s Prince Charles, Barack Obama, Jared Kushner, Biden, etc. Some even say, it’s Trump!
Does the Bible give us some clues? Can we rely on God’s Words to check if the above candidates fit the Bible narrative when it comes to the antichrist?
The answer is yes!
First, in the Bible the antichrist appears under several names. For instance :
- "Gog" (Numbers 24:7; Ezekiel 38:3)
- "the king of Babylon" (Isaiah 14:4)
- "the Assyrian" (Isaiah 10:5-6; Micah 5. 5b,6)
- "the prince of Tyre" (Ezekiel 28:2)
- "Pharaoh" (Ezekiel 29:2)
- "the king of Egypt" (Ezekiel 29:3)
Can these biblical indications be applied to the above antichrist candidates?
What do all these names have in common?
They all point to the Middle-East.
In Daniel 11, the antichrist is called "the king of the North" (Daniel 11:6) and the text precisely tell us where this man - who is the very one who will attack Israel in the end time (Daniel 11:41) – comes from : He comes from the region that covers Turkey, Syria and Iraq (formerly forming the Seleucid Empire).
This information is paramount if we want to properly identify the antichrist.
Since neither Mac’Ron, King Charles, Barack Obama, Jared Kushner, Biden or Trump originate from the region that covers Turkey, Syria and Iraq, we can say very clearly that by biblical definition, they do not meet the biblical criteria.
Now if the Bible tells us that the antichrist comes from the region that covers Turkey, Syria and Iraq, can we guess what his religion is?
Which is the religion that officially and loudly calls for the annihilation of the land of Israel and the killing of all Jews?
The answer gives us the religion of the antichrist.
The religion of the antichrist gives us a clue about the revived Empire we should look for. Hint: it does not come from Rome nor the Western world.
The whole Bible is Jerusalem/Israel/Middle-Eastern centric. Unless we adopt the Biblical paradigm, our end time scenario will be different from the one of the Bible.
Take for instance the idea that the antichrist will rule the whole world. This is what we are being told to believe.
The Scriptures paint a different picture where the rule of the antichrist is limited to 10 Middle-Eastern nations. Besides, he will be at war with several other nations, some he will conquer, others he won’t.
What about all the nations from the world attacking Israel. Is this what the Bible say?
A close study of the passages that talk about the end time invasion of Israel show that the nations in question are the surrounding Muslim nations.
Also, the Bible is very clear as it gives us the very names of the nations set to receive the wrath of Yah. Not a single one of them is a Western nation! Rome is NEVER EVER mentioned in the context of the day of Yahweh and the pouring of his wrath.
Should we be surprised?
If we stick to the Biblical narrative, we shouldn’t be.
