Yes, but things on earth on are just copies of the heavenly things. Man was not made for sabbath but sabbath was made for man. It all points to the ULTIMATE sabbath that we look forward to....eternity in heaven. Jesus said come to me and I will give you rest. This life is for labor, the next life is for rest.

Mary Magdalene went to Jesus' tumb while it was still dark because Jews could not travel on the Sabeth. The end of Sabeth is in the evening. so Mary went as soon as she could when the Sabeth ended and it was yet dark. It was the High Sabeth on which Jesus arose. He did not arise on Sunday. Mary could not travel to the tomb on the high Sabeth. It was still dark on early Sunday morning when Jesus told Mary, " It is I".

After reading this thread, it came into my mind so clearly Jesus' warning to let no man deceive you by any means. This would include religious means. Yes, the Catholic Church is filthy with redirecting God's people to their agenda, whatever it may be, and there are other denominations that are just as corrupted. With that said, deception is everywhere, infiltrating every fabric of human life. Watch and pray with the full armor of God firmly in place! Ephesians 6.

Col. 2:16-17: "So let no one judge you in food or in drink, or regarding a festival or a new moon or sabbaths,...

I propose to consider who was doing the judging and who was being judged. I propose those that were transgressors of the law (1 John 3:4) were judging those who were living by the law. I was always taught that those who were eating "kosher" were judging those that weren't. Only recently have I considered it otherwise and it seems to make sense to me. Just a thought... Blessings...

Something to ponder...Consider Daniel 7:25

25 He shall speak words against the Most High,
and shall wear out the saints of the Most High,
and shall think to change the times and the law;
and they shall be given into his hand
for a time, times, and half a time.

Think to speak AGAINST the Most High and think to CHANGE TIMES AND LAWS.

Look up both the Nicaea Council 325 And the Laodician Council.

They speak blasphemies against the God most High, stating:

1. They are above His word and that they are " God on Earth" and have the right to change anything they want. Changed the appointed feast days by outlawing them, excommunicating those who kept them, eventually killing whoever was deemed a "Heresy" by the inquisitions.

Why was Augustus (Cesar) called pontifex maximus?
As ruler of Rome, Augustus had to lead by example. He re-established traditional social rules and religious rituals, sacrificing animals to Rome's gods. In 12 AD he made himself Pontifex Maximus, the chief priest of Rome and head of the Collegium Pontificum, the highest priests in the land.

This is the same exact title the Pope uses today.

2. They also changed the 10 commandments. They removed of keeping the sabbath, they got rid of the law against Idols. and the split up the other laws to still make 10. They outlawed any Torah keeping. You were considered a heretic and subject to death. They also changed the traditional Passover Nissan 14th to Sunday morning a regular workday. Nicaea council 325 AD. You can google it.

3. They wore out the saints of The Most High, by the Inquisitors and the Dark ages. They killed/tortured more "Christian/Jews" than any other entity including Rome. They burned at the stake those who dared to print the Bible in any language other than Latin, and it was against the law for anyone to read it EXCEPT a Catholic Bishop or Priest. They manage to keep it that way for over 1000 years.

Really look into the Inquisitions and the burning at the stake times. You will be horrified by what they did.

4. They mix a ton of Pagan rituals, clothing, and symbols in the so called "Christianity of the Church of Rome."

325 AD was only about 225 years post Apostle John, easily within 3 generations the church had changed so much and took over the once purely Jewish church. Paul did not start his ministry until well after his event on the road. The church was about 15-20 years old before Paul showed up to preached and teach gentiles. iI took him 10 years to even go to Jerusalem. He spent 7 years in the desert before returning to Damascus.

They may not be the AC, but they have the spirit of the AC, and every single protestant church the face of the earth to day was born out of the Catholic Church. The beast will be so subtle that "if it were possible could fool the very elect."

People have been fooled since 225-300 AD. and that spirit was already starting at the time of the Apostles.

Consider this: The Sabbath was from creation. It has always been here. (No Torah yet) Cain and Able were making sacrifices. (No Torah yet) Noah got off the boat and sacrificed "clean animals" (No Torah yet). Abraham made a covenant with the messenger by sacrificing an animal ( No Torah yet).

These things from the Torah that the church speaks out against so much have always been here. God simply had Moses write it down in stone. Preserved for all posterity to now see and know. You can't mistake something written in stone.

The feast days are all prophetic. The Feasts days of God are all prophetic. 4 Springs feast ( fulfilled at the first coming) long summer pause, and the 3 Fall Feasts (will be fulfilled by Jesus at the SECOND coming) still have to happen.

God says to observe them as a convocation. A practice so to speak. Act them out. So that when hey do happen you will recognize them. The 4 spring feast are now a memorial remembrance of what has already taken place, the 3 Fall feast we are still watching for and to be acting out until they come.

God said these 7 feasts are HIS feasts vs. people calling them the feasts of the Jews/Israel. And they are to be observed for ever throughout ALL generations. He also says that any foreigner among Israel is to keep them in the same way. We are grafted into the root of Israel yes? Romans says so.

As for Paul's passage about observing feast, and new moons etc. He was talking to pagan gentiles who had just come into the faith. Paul himself kept these feast days. as he returned to Jerusalem to observed them, or attempted to get there to observed them. Jesus kept/observed them.

Could that actually correct context of what Paul was saying is this...do not let people judge you in how you are eating, drinking, sabbath keeping etc because these are a SHADOW of things to COME. in other words they were being judged for keeping these things as they followed what the Messiah and Paul did. And they are going to happen in the future in some real way, but to us now they are only shadows, we can only see slightly/darkly what they mean. But they are still coming, should we not be aware of them and keeping them?

I mean is it possible this is the context? Laodicians were not jews, they were pagan converts. They also happen to have the same name as the last church in Revelation that is poor, blind, and naked.

Something to think about. Plus remember, we have been taught over and over again, that the law is dead. It's only for the Jews. The people who teach us this, were taught by people who said that, who were taught by another generation who said that right on back to 300 AD.

The Pharisees and Sadducees were the Harvard scholars of their day in the Torah and they missed the Messiah right in front of their faces.

Could it be that our own church Harvard scholars having decided to go with the "traditions of the church fathers" can't see the truth either?

The forsaking of the 7th day Sabbath is what precipitated Christian believers' ultimate falling away leading to our Church culture today!!! Consider YHWH says the 7th day Sabbath is a SIGN between me and you Ex 31:13 AND YHWH says His SabbathS (PLURAL meaning to include the high Sabbaths of the YHWH's Feast Days AS WELL) are a sign between Him and His People Ezek 20:20.

All fake religions have a 'god' i.e. the US "in god we trust", Muslim 'allah is god' etc. The day we honor and the feasts (Holy Days) we honor are a "sign" of which god we follow!!! Do we follow any old god or the God YHWH who created the heavens and the earth in 6 days and then rested on the SEVENTH DAY and hallowed it? The 7th day Sabbath is THE sign of who our God ultimately is! Just as the feasts we honor are another sign. Do we honor HIS FEASTS (These are MY feasts says YHWH Lev 23:2) or man made feasts??? What ever days and feasts we honor declare and are a sign of which god/God we honor. (There is disagreement among followers of HIS feasts as to what is the right calendar and THIS is what the passages about which day to honor are about, not about which feasts. That was never a point of contention among the first century church whereas there was some disagreement in the diaspora of how to tell when an actual feast started or when the new moon was, etc)

Finally consider: Mat 5:19  “Whoever, then, breaks one of the least of these commands, and teaches men so, shall be called least in the reign of the heavens; but whoever does and teaches them, he shall be called great in the reign of the heavens...

Trading our Creator's Sabbaths and Feasts for man made traditions obscured who the Real Creator, King and God is tell today anything goes, any god can be god, evolution is fine, the earth wasn't created in 6 days and men and women committing abominations according to scripture can pastor a 'church'. We need to repent and get back to the old paths: Jer 6:16  Thus said יהוה, “Stand in the ways and see, and ask for the old paths, where the good way is, and walk in it; and find rest for yourselves. But they said, ‘We do not walk in it.’ 

Will we follow the good way or be one who replies "We do not walk in it"? Your physical safety in the years ahead as well as your eternal rewards may depend upon the answer to this question. Shalom!
