To be precise, when looking at examples from the first testament, it is not ‘us’ and ‘we’ (christians).
Those texts speak about the people of Israel.

In the death of Moses prophecy it is explained that Messiah is to lead ‘us’ into the promised land.
We, christians, are saved by Messiah’s blood on the door posts of our heart, went out of ‘Egypt’, through a time of testing (desert) and entered spiritual in the promised land. Ephesians 2:4-6.
When Jesus comes back, we will meet Him in the sky, while our bodies will be changed too to an eternal state. In a way that is a promised land.
The Israelites will also be resurrected, but not in the same way as ‘we’ christians.
They will be ‘resurrected’ a short time after ‘us’ when the Lord will gather them from all over the world and bring them in the land of Israel. See Ezekiel 37.

The Jubilee prophecy
The film says: “When the Messiah returns we will be taken into the land, the land will be returned to us and all will settle in their respective tribe and the tribe's allotted division of land, for those of us that do not have a tribe.”

This is a very strange idea. The first testament doesn’t speak about christians, it speaks about the people of Israel.
All Israelites will be gathered by Jesus after He returns and be brought into the land of Israel. Those are the branches that were broken off.
All believers, Jews and christians, are the body of Christ, they are part of the olive tree. They, or better said: we, will get immortal bodies. Believing Jews and believers of the gentiles.
The broken off branches, and the branches that are on the olive tree, are two separate entities.

The Esther prophecy.
The film says: “Esther pictures us as the bride before the throne room of our King.”
Why ‘us’? When you read your bible well you will see that the bible tells us a lot about Israel. It tells us that God married Israel, divorced her, but will marry her again. Hosea 2.
Jesus Christ is the head of the body, the believers. Head and body are one.
The head will marry the bride, likewise will marry the body the bride.
There is a lot more to say about this subject, but a comment is not the right place.

My friend, I respectfully disagree with the view that there will be a separate resurrection for the Israelites. There are many verses that say that there is no distinction between the Jew and the Gentile. The Old Testament had literal stories about literal Israel that foreshadow spiritual Israel. Spiritual Israel is the entirety of whoever believes in Jesus Christ. The resurrection foreseen in Ezekiel is the resurrection of God's people.
Romans 10: 12-13 "For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek, for the same Lord over all is rich to all who call upon Him. For “whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.”
Coll. 3:11 "where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcised nor uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave nor free, but Christ is all and in all."
Gal. 3:28 "There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus."
The bible only speaks of two harvests. The saved (first harvest of Rev. 14) and the unsaved (the second harvest of Rev. 14.)

Years ago I thought the same as you do. It was very difficult to understand the biggest part of the bible. Now, I think, I see a broader picture.

BTW. The resurrection in Ezekiel 37 is getting breath given by God to become to live. Those bones in that valley of death were covered with flesh. That is metaphorical.
These bones are the whole house of Israel. You can read in verse 16 that those bones which came to life are the people of Judah and the people of Israel.

If I may give an answer to the last part above which says:

It seems that the two nations above are symbolic of the Jews and Gentiles who believe in Christ. We will all be united and brought into the heavenly Canaan and Christ will be King of us all.
Another reason this cannot refer to the the literal divided Kingdoms is that one of them has disappeared from the earth. Even if by some scientific study, people could be located and identified as the blood of one of the tribes of the Northern Kingdom, I do not think would God save them using a different plan of redemption just because of their DNA. Israel was the vehicle that brought the Messiah to the world.

Maybe to you it seems that the nations in Ezekiel 37 are symbolic of the Jews and Gentiles who believe in Christ, to me they are not. I see them as real nations. Real ascendants of the twelve tribes.

You think the 10 tribes disappeared. I think for God everything is possible. He keeps the records. When He says that He will gather them when He comes back to us, He will.

God will “take the children of Israel from among the heathen”. It does not say He will take the heathen, He will take the people of Israel from ‘among’ the heathen,

The film Messiah part two explains too that Jesus will gather Israel and Judah when He comes back.

Laurens43 ....Oh quite contrary, Ez 37 is about the Messiah's first 3.5 year ministry and about His second 3.5 year ministry. In the first 14 verses He talks about bringing the dead bones of Israel back together, putting flesh on them and then breathing life into them. You do realize when the Messiah died on the cross graves broke open and when He rose over 500 people who had been dead, some up to 1500 years, came out of their graves with flesh on and walked Jerusalem for 40 days. This fulfilled the first half of Ez. At verse 15 it switches over to the finale half of the 70th week or His second ministry when He comes for the House of Judah and the House of Israel. You have heard fairy tales all your life but the Lord God is with you, I can see it in your posts.

Most Christian have been taught that they belong to the "Church", ie: an entity different and distinct from Israel, with different sets of laws rather than the Torah.

This is a very sucessful lie from the Adversary. By cutting the believers from their Hebraic roots and by changing their identity from Israel to the Church, ha satan has managed to decredibilized the testimony of the Christians to the Jews.

The Jews sees Jesus through the lence of the Church : a pig eating Torah breaking gentile who teaches his disciples to mix the holy and the profane. No wonder why the Jews want nothing to do with the Christian Jesus!

In truth, when one approaches the Bible within its context and narrative, everything centers around Israel from Genesis to Revelation.

Think about it:

(1) Yahweh is the God of Israel (2 Kings 19:15; Isaiah 37:16)
(2) Yeshua is Israel’s Messiah (Mark 15:32; Acts 2:36)
(3) The new covenant is made with the house of Israel and the house of Judah (Jeremiah 31:31)
(4) Yeshua is the King of the kingdom of Israel (John 12:13; Acts 1:6)
(5) Yeshua is the bridegroom of Israel (Jeremiah 31:32)
(6) The wedding concerns Israel (Isaiah 25:6)

And last but not least:

(7) Yeshua will reign forever over Jacob/Israel (Luke 1:33; Matthew 2:6)

The key to understand the biblical narrative is to understand that the “Chruch” is in fact Israel and is made up of believing Jews and Gentiles, washed by the blood of Jesus.

Only when we understand our true identity as Israel can we start walking like Yeshua walked, that is follow Torah through the lead of the Holy Spirit and love as our sole motivation.

Great discussion here. I want to highlight Hosea because Hosea has 3 children. Jezreel, LoRuhami and Loammi.

This book, when understood, helps destroy the dispensational lies that have been fed to the flock over the centuries.
"Then shall the children of Judah and the children of Israel be gathered together, and appoint themselves one head, and they shall come up out of the land: for great shall be the day of Jezreel."

Jezreel is a symbol of Yahshua, Messiah. Loammi is all who once were called "not my people" - but there comes a time when they are called "Sons of the living God". That should be familiar to Christians who think of themselves as gentiles. But Loammi actually represents the whole family of Abraham plus all who believe in Yahshua. Adopted into the family of Israel. And numerous as the sands of the sea.

So the children of Judah and of Israel appoint themselves one HEAD. The verse I quoted is about the gathering of saints under one head. That is the great day of Jezreel. But what about that middle child, LoRuhami. She is symbolized later as Ephraim. I am open to learn more about this one but my present discernment is that she represents all of the redeemed who do not enter the kingdom at the first resurrection. They are redeemed into eternity at the second resurrection.

Now let's understand Israel. The word means "Righteousness of God". And God placed this name upon a literal family we can read about. But it is also His family which we are all adopted into through Yahshua.

We should not be confused by the modern 'Nation' called Israel, nor the bad habit of making it a religious designation.

You are correct Sir, we have aliened with a people who have been under a curse from Yeshua and we are paying dearly for it. I will prove it is not the House of Israel but the House of Judah, or God is a liar. How many times have we heard the false prophets on TV and elsewhere claim that "if we bless Israel then we will be blessed" and then they tell us Eze 37 is about the country Israel which is bs. In 1948 the House of Judah established a country and called it Israel instead of Judea. I remember the protest of the conservative Rabbi's not happy with the name. The United States recognized the House of Judah as a country called Israel and we should be blessed right? We were, by 1961 we kicked God out of our schools and country. Also in the 60's the fertility goddess Easter had taken root and birthed the sexual revolution. In the mid 60's the False prophet showed up and has deceived 99.99% of the church. By the the early 70's Moloch showed up and we started sacrificing our children. We became exceedingly rich, one cannot served two Masters. Then later the prosperity gospel and now. AND NOW!!! When you alien with an enemy of God it might not work out so good. That is why we must pray for our brother Judah, although God said not to, because he is our brother in the promise and God is going to turn Judah early in the 2nd half of the 70th week or Christ's second ministry as I call it.

I just want to say though, I believe we're beginning to experience the Jude/Enoch prophecy. The saints (under one Head) are removing the ungodly. But what stands between this pace, and His pace is our silly doctrines. But He is orchestrating Unity down to the smallest detail, including our conversations on this particular documentary forum.

His Law is being restored, next up, justice.

It is close, Ezekiel laid on his side for 40 days for Judah. It turns out for Judah to be 2000 years and the time clock started for them when the abomination of desolation happened. We are close to the end of the curse for Judah when the Jews will believe in Yeshua and fulfill all that is written.

Yes! And by being graffted in, the believing gentiles become Israel. The only people the Elohim of Israel has a covenant with!

One thing is important to understand though is that "they are not all Israel, which are of Israel".

Abba has a covenant with those - Jews and Gentiles - who believe in His Son. These are the ones who will partake to the first resurrection.

That does not mean non believing Jews and Gentile will be left out. They will have the Millenium and the ligh of Glorified Israel to turn to their reigning king. And all those who do so during the 1000 year reign will partake to the second resurrection at the end of the Millenium.

At least, this is the way I understand it! ;-)

The bible is a spiritual book, lined with metaphors, symbols, riddles, parables (proverbs) and hidden treasures. Fun to search out and explore. The graves at that time were the people who had know Christ but yet were waiting for the initial part of being resurrected up in the spirit, as all are now. It did not happen literal, but spiritual. (people coming out of graves).
Its words to describe the resurrection of the believers who had faith in that time.
Lazarus of believers coming out of their grave clothes to put on the clothes of righteousness. Their eyes were opened and their ears heard the Good news and told the rest of the people.
