(Mark 14:34-42)
In this account of Jesus in the Garden of Gethsemane
Jesus told the disciples to WATCH. (v.34)
He returned and found them sleeping and said "WATCH ye and pray, lest ye enter into temptation.?" (v.38)
A second time he left and returned to find them sleeping.(v.40)
"41 And HE COMETH THE THIRD TIME, and saith unto them, Sleep on now, and TAKE YOUR REST: it is enough, THE HOUR IS COME; behold, the Son of man is betrayed into the hands of sinners."
42 RISE UP, LET US GO; lo, he that betrayeth me is at hand.
WATCH, WATCH, REST.
Matt. 24:42 WATCH therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come.

Great insight and emphasis on Watch,Watch,Rest. "Third time", and "they were sleeping"

Reminded me of The Parable of 10 Virgins.

"While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept." May we be the wise virgins and have extra oil!

UGH, we knew something was there. That was looked at a few years ago, but now it is even more obvious. Thanks for the reminder. Even though part 3 will be the micro timeline of the first coming, maybe we can sneak this one in there somehow.
