“I wonder if he is overly trying to symbolize allegorize the Scriptures”.
I don’t think so!
I think ICA (the nickname of the brother behind the teachings on midnightwatcher.com) is exploring some grounds we haven’t particularly explored before and he is proposing interpretations that could turn out to be possible.
Time will tell, but it is wise to be open to adapt our understanding when it comes to the end time and how things could play out.
Remember, according to Daniel, it’s the wise who will understand, those who seek understanding. These are the ones who will teach the many.
If Yeshua returns in 6 years, that means the beginning of the tribulation is Spring 2027. Think about it, there is not much time left. Most common scenarios, if true, would hardly fit in the gap.
The groundbreaking “new” interpretations that ICA is proposing are worth investigating in prayer, if you ask me.
The arguments put forward are quite persuasive, if you take time to study them in depth. For sure, it requires we think outside the box! It requires we put aside our current understanding to explore new grounds where we may never have been before.
Who knows? Maybe that’s where Abba wants to take us, in order to wake us up and prepare us…
Also note that ICA is not dogmatic and saying this is it, that’s the way things are going to be! On the contrary his approach is not only well studied and scripturally based, he is also very humble: he only makes suggestions saying: “this could be it, but it also could be something else”. That’s a sign of maturity, if you ask me. And this sign is pretty rare in most end time circles!
Take the antichrist, for instance. Most people think it’s going to be a man who will declare himself to be God in a rebuilt temple.
ICA shows that:
One: if the antichrist is a man, he may not declare himself to be God as people usually understand it.
Two: there is no need of a physical temple for this event to take place.
Three: a Muslim figure is the best fit.
Now, where things get interesting, in my understanding, is that ICA also makes the following hypothesis and asks: what about if the antichrist is NOT a man (as 99.99% of Christian expect)?
I do not know about you, but for me, since I’ve been working on the book I’m working on, asking Abba to help me understand in prayer, this possibility had never come to my mind before.
Yes! What if the antichrist is NOT a man? If this were so, how would things pan out?
Now, this is where things are interesting because it pushes us to be open and study possible scenarios we had not thought about before.
Keep in mind here, that in my case, my prayer to the Father is "Abba show me. Help me understand. Give me wisdom and understanding so that I can discern your Word".
My final aim is to be able to a true witness to people around, because pretty soon, people are going to inquire and ask questions, when times get rough. And they will.
As ambassadors of the Kingdom of Elohim, we need to be prepared and to be faithful witnesses to those who are going to come to us to understand what’s going on in the world and how all this will end.
We need to have the correct answers, hence the necessity for us to remain open and be ready to adapt our understanding on what’s coming.
It’s the same for the Abomination of Desolation. What if our current understanding is not correct?
We all expect daily sacrifices to resume, most, if not all expect the rebuilding of a third temple.
What if this interpretation was never meant to be? What if ICA’s take is the actual way things pan out?
Will it have consequences on what we share with others?
Aren’t we supposed to be ambassador of Truth?
That’s the very reason I think it is wise we do just like Bereans did: look into the Scriptures to see whether these things are true.
This is what I have been doing lately with the teachings on midnightwatcher.com and so far, I haven’t seen anything that contradict the Scriptures. On the contrary!
Instruct the wise and they will be wiser still; teach the righteous and they will add to their learning. The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom, and knowledge of the Holy One is understanding. Pro 9.9-10
